Spring’s Call

Birds sing out to one another
each male trying to be the loudest
Ruffling breast and hopping about
wanting to make himself the choice

Nearby a black bird cracking twigs
making them smaller for the nest
Flying to the nearby fir tree
he drops his load then starts again

When next he is seen not alone
gliding as one with wings attached
Still joined together in mid flight
they settle on a leafless branch

All around are the sounds of spring
warming blood within each of us
Smiling I watch the seasons birth
awaiting magic of Spring’s Call

Star
This surely did give me a real lift in my heart.
You're such a precious person now at the beauty of just being yourself.

Thank you Eric...you have always had a way of lifting my spirits...I am on a long journey and I am starting to love the little girl in me...many call me eccentric because I surround myslef with nature and magical thoughts...but it is only because I still believe in the magic of love...a part of me will ever be young for that is where I am happiest...*BIG HUGS*

Spring is a magical time, a time of new birth, freshness and joy. Love the imagery you paint in your poem.
