Destroying Fire is Desire

Very easily will arise temptation,
To stop that we need will-power,
If we allow it wag its dirty tail,
We will be forced to face doom.

We have to be careful always
By not entertaining any desire,
As that may do invariably harm
And realization may be too late.

When our behavior is restless,
We are prone to make errors,
As a result, troubles will peep,
Due to which we may struggle.

We must tie our mind strongly,
With really great contentment,
To act against greed's effects,
Then only can we survive safely.

Stop after reaching moderation,
This, you will learn at a stage,
Know to say no for any desire,
Here only you must act wisely.

Mind can be controlled easily
After making some ground-work,
Nothing is impossible for man,
If he takes the support of God.

Human mind will urge to act,
By doing anything damn bad,
It will force all the nerves,
To repeat that negative action.

In case of persistent demand,
Our mind will fall a sure prey,
Performing bad habits easily,
With our soul yielding meekly.

Grim determination is the cure,
Solid abstinence alone is fine,
We must put for ourselves leash,
That will show an escape route.

Refuse to oblige mind's demands,
If they are not up to the mark,
This is the one and only method,
To lead a happy and healthy life.

Aye, but saying no is sometimes an impossible task . . . It takes much will power to overcome the desires of the flesh.

Learning how to avoid temptation is not an easy task...depending on the situation it can sometime be good to use control...well said...
