Mountain Majesty

I feel its call within my soul
sent on winds blown through evergreens
Caressed like the hand of a lover
the gentle winds draw me closer

Magic pulls my spirit higher
where I soar among the eagles
Joining with them in their spring dance
as the male dives to show his prowess

Gazing through piecing eagle’s eyes
overcome with a humbling awe
The world below is crystal clear
of blue lakes and deep green forests

Climbing higher in cloudless skies
fast flowing falls come into view
Higher still we soar above peaks
to gaze on mountain majesty

Sighing I return to my room
leaving behind an inner dream
Smiling I know within my heart
the Rockies are just to the west

When I first moved to Alberta I was afraid it was all flat...Much to my joy I am only 1 1/2 hours from Crownest Pass...such a stunning place to live when one can go to the magic of the mountains whenever I want...there is something so magical about them...Thank you for reading...*HUGS*

Not too long a trip to actually see the Rockies Karen.
Whenever I visit my brother and stepfather just outside Vancouver in Pitt Meadows BC I love going to Pitt Lake. A beautiful lake laying at the foot of the Rockies, a calm beautiful scene.
Lovely word pictures throughout this writing. A soaring write.
