Windmills

Have you ever heard the wind blow, as if someone was there
Or heard the floorboards creaking, or footsteps on the stair
Have you seen the petals falling, like tears upon the ground
Or seen the Windmills turning, the sails just floating round
Have you seen the blind man tapping, his stick upon the road
Or seen the Sun just rising, just as the Cock has crowed
Have you seen the Trout a-leaping, to catch a new mayfly
Or a steam train as it's leaving, as Lovers wave goodbye
Have you ever seen a Rainbow, but not touched Pot of Gold
Or listened to the Widow, her story to be told
Have you ever heard my Heartbeat, when crying out to you
Or my fingers touching, if only you just knew
Cries of passion and the whispers, these words so pure so true
Please listen to my Love song, the one I sing for you.
