I would see it in your eyes sometimes
how you wondered about your fingers fitting
together like limbs of trees into a sky
and how lovely it was when you moved them
around that certain place that spoke fragile

and then shook them when they became numb
like they were keyboards from within your soul
and you were shaking the letter off of them
leaving partial words around at random sprinkle
hoping the wind would come perhaps to organize

I would see it in your eyes sometimes
when they were closed looking inside yourself
that movement of them under the covers of skin
searching for just the right place to touch
with a glance that would remain always permanent

and you could keep what your heart had just stolen

"and you could keep what your heart had just stolen" powerful...

Every time I re-read it it gets better, your way with words as usual leaves me in awe and you spark my imagination...love this....how I wish I could write more like you!
