I'm a contented man
For I have done what I've n'er done before.
I smile that I can shout it to the world,
I have lived to see this day,
That's what I've done I've n'er done before,
And I'm confident of this done deed.
I care not what tomorrow brings,
Because today is mine,
Let next day's storm arrive in real time,
My smile may indeed be a frown on the morrow,
Whatever its fate will be,
Today I smile for I am in my finest hour.

quote:
Today I smile for I am in my finest hour.

And you can choose to be in your finest hour whenever you want, again and again, in the Now.

Wonderful attitude, dear Jerry, and most beautifully rendered in this poem.

You got it right, Margherita, we can pick and choose. I do so like that concept. Thank you for giving me a look this Sunday morning.

You know the old saying Jerry, "everyday you're above ground's a plus!"

Right on Jerry, enjoy your day and that's great summation in this piece.

Much thanks, yann. Your presence and kind words are very much appreciated.

Eric, you'd better believe it, especially when you have as many candles on your birthday cake as do I. Thanks for being here.
