Doing a bit of daydreaming

<><><><>

I hear her voice fading into lost reality.
Her body I know I will never embrace.
I will never get to press my lips to hers
and kiss that generous mouth, the origin
of a voice dear as Fort Knox gold to me.
My daydreams of her are spent trying to
clasp a voluptuous shadowy body to mine.
I will never be close enough to touch her
and that truism sometimes makes me want
to scream into the void she makes when I
try to tell her I love her with a love strong
and durable and she is the only person on
this planet earth that I would do anything to
touch her face and lips with my fingertips.
For days and months I have loved the ground
beneath her feet, and yet she is a phantom
dream which is all I have left of my vision of
her. Or maybe it is just that shadowy trace
of her, a moving trace, moving further away to
silhouette the moon and smile down at me.

Beautiful dream Jerry and you put it across well in this piece.
Hey what the hell's wrong with some soul fulfilling fantasy's in your life.

Fort Knox gold eh, oh this one's a good one, no wonder you can't let it go completely.

I enjoyed the read very much.

Thank you, rabittlover, but it was a little more than a daydream unfortunately.

Ahh, but if you could, you would,
and I wish you well in doing so!
Being that the full moon woke me last night,
I know well your thoughtfullness in
writing this bit of love song.

You had better believe it, Karilea, if I could, I would. Thanks for giving me a nod.

simply excellent!

... and describing an unrequited 'place' that I have
'been to' as well (from which we may never escape) ...
