Wind Blows

When the wind blows strong
chimes dance their music
making a theme song
become a classic

It caresses leaves
twisting them about
touching it receives
whistles in cry out

It moans through windows
leaving eerie sounds
once soft then bellows
the beating heart abounds

In front of fire lit
warmth through me flows
and there I will sit
when the strong wind blows

Beautifully done are these pensive thoughts of nature's commune.

Personally, I love the wind! Not when it's too strong mind you, but when it's strong enough to whisper about the powers of creation.
I find it refreshing as it cleans the surface of the earth and breathes pollen across the land to extend life for miles.

Love the comforting end of this piece Karen.
Well done!

I love chimes and have 4 of them hanging in my bedroom window...when the wind blows from the north I go to sleep to the music they create...Thank you

When I was getting ready to move to Alberta from New Brunswick people out here warned me about the wind...it made me laugh because I love the wind...it makes me think of sitting on the cliffs of Cape Breton watching a storm come off the ocean...*sigh* Hugs dear Eric...right now the wind is howling and I am listening to the music of the chimes

Hope you're on the porch, breathing it in ...
it could blow non-stop as far as I'm concerned...

enjoyed.

I enjoyed this read very much.   Not too crazy about the wind as it seems to blow pretty hard in my neck of the woods, keeping us indoors and just watching as the trees sway.  Would rather be outdoors instead!

We have lots of wind here as well but not as dangerous as other place...I love the wind because it reminds me of the ocean... thanks all for reading...
