Just feeling a little down in the dumps. Needed to vent, that's all.

strange feelings
these feelings of mine these days
feel like an orphan
with no where to settle
I go to this halfway place
part time
a few hours
have to
speak in guarded language
the owners of the place
might be listening
there's another place I used to go
not anymore
it's been shut down
the halfway place isn't too bad
at least I can settle in
kinda
but at the end of the day
no where to go
so . . .
like in the old days
I stay alone
I shouldn't complain
and I don't
except every so often
like now

That photo really does the trick.

Feelings of being orphaned from the rest of the world well communicated here Jerry.
Good writing.

Hi, Jerry.  You go where many of us have gone before but thankfully "tomorrow" is always better.  Sometimes, however, it may take a week, a month or a year to arrive but it always does eventually arrive.  Meanwhile it gives rise to good poetic vents as you have done here while we wait for that better tomorrow.

Yeah, you right, Startime, The Blue Room is good for that and many other things.

Thank, Eric. Like I said above the poem, I'm feeling better this morning. Just a mental lapse last night, that is all this was. Appreciate the thoughts.

Yep, tomorrow is here, Eric, and things are right with the world. Thank you for the words of wisdom.

You have done well, Jerry, to write down your feelings of melancholy, for so many others (maybe even all who read it) can relate to it.

And all in all it is uplifting, as you already know it will pass ... and pass it did. But when we are stuck in the dark room of loneliness, it isn't a nice place to be, indeed.

Very well written moment of life.

Wise words, Margherita. Yeah, even as I was writing it, I knew it would pass. I almost didn't post it, because I felt things would resolve itself, but why write it if you are fearful of posting? Appreciate your kind words, Margherita.
