I
enjoy
creating
poetry that
is constructed in
a “form” with lines that rhyme.
Refrains with perfect meter,
trochees, iambs, syllable counts,
assonance and alliteration:
Poetry with form is like a puzzle.
And as much as I enjoy puzzles,
there is something so refreshing
about writing words that say
nothing but what I feel.
No hidden meanings
or messages,
just feelings
on a
page.

I totally agree. I write in rhyme, metered and all the rest, but lately I like the freedom to say whatever I want to and say it anyway darn way I see fit.

Very nice, dear Amber! Yes, like puzzles, and it takes exactly the same great amount of patience I think!

I am not good in construction, but very much enjoy the beautiful results of efforts I see here on Pip, like yours.

Love that, "just feelings on a page".
