Indescribable Blue

Indescribable blue
too unbelievable to be true
yet here you are
and here I am
oh here you are
standing
right in front of me

Improbable red
an aftertaste of novels I've read
I see you there
deep in the lines
you're everywhere
and nowhere
beyond my broken eyes

Trains they pulse they pulse
like a heroin overdose
through unimaginable Tokyo town
and the sun has stabbed the color down
somewhere in Shinjuku my heart has flicked the switch
and the night has come to twitch
in my eyes like butterfly's wings
I thought you meant everything
to me
and I was right

Unlikely green
too impossible to be seen
Midori shakes off sleep
like a feathery wind
the blood of living cuts deep
and she smiles
like a watercolor citylove

Rain it's falling it's falling
like a grey bird calling
out through the mists of imagination
cut the cord and sail through sensation
pin my hopes to the gloss that covers every living thing
count the cost and sleep to dream
in my heart a bell is cracking open
I thought I would think about you again
and I did
and I did what's right

Impossible white,
tips of fingers smear the night
into anything you'll understand
transmit your code
and let time slip through hands
oh she smiles
like a pastel morningblood

Lights they burn they burn
into your retinas till you learn
to retain every little perfect memory of her
I'd remain entranced in a Shibuya blur
transmit my admittance to her grace inside my hotel room
save up coupons to delay the doom
tomorrow I'll be riding air back again
I thought I would think about you now and then
but I didn't
and I didn't do what's right

Indescribable blue,
intercut with sakura in bloom
but you can bet I'll revisit the concept of you
once I'm back in my shroud of a room
unlikely green and it seems
Midori's about to mean everything
to me.

Had to look up Midori. Now I know. What I don't know whether or not this is a song. It could be, although I'm certainty not a songwriter. Still, song or poem, it was interesting and had some catchy lines, such as . . .

"out through the mists of imagination
cut the cord and sail through sensation
pin my hopes to the gloss that covers every living thing
count the cost and sleep to dream"

Like that . . .
