       Love's Fragility

The promise of a rising  dawn,
warmth of a summer sunset,
solace of the evening twilight,
words of a fragile new love,
dancing in the shadows
and uncertain moonlight
to the twin pipes of fate
  and time,
that very first kiss
the very last kiss
All is fleeting …
but her fear and
  intransigence
from the darkness
  of the past.

Yes, Bruce, I am well aware of the darkness of the past.

Everything is fleeting, Bruce, even fear and
intransigence...eventually. I would hope that our heartfelt poems would last forever...somewhere.

They won't ... especially when they only float across the vast and nebulous cyber-sea.

Oh the heart, the heart, what a treacherous thing it can be.
Damage can't be fixed by any proceedure or surgeon.
Great write!
