i like it
that you can see me
the way I am;
diaphanous
and idled hands
fingers in wing
circle like red hawks
in threes
across my chest--
I'm not thinking -
just a flout
of crest, trailing
proud less down
and swerving up

malingering

in

between

where your head
should find some rest
in service
of
myself

and love

is-not-what-I-am-thinking-of...

and no, I smile,
not even lust...

just the breeze
and my goosebumps
in gentle protest
following
my nails

(they're buffed)
and gleaming in

the glimpse of sun
in set,

a still-shot camera

(six o'clock}
reaching through

my lids and dreams
those colors were
just born:

(as if)

my beckoning

created hues
just for you.

Yeah.

Just for you.

Lori, you are so very sweet.

(You should know though, I only willingly see the sun rise, or set. Everything in between sucks.)

thank you lovie

Taking the words and arranging them just so, just so they mean everything (and sometimes nothing) is a fine-crafted art. You have that art.

This speaking-to-the-dear-one poem has finesse written all over it. You, as you do so very often, expose yourself and stand naked among your words and phrases.

Good to see that you have come back to us.

*smile*

When it comes to poetry, naked is all there is.

(My pink dress was taken away, too, and the crinoline? Was scratchy, the white stockings wouldn't stay up, and my bow was always askance...)

Karen...Great to read you again dear lady, it's been awhile.
Here I go again trying to relate your poetry to thoughts of how I percieve it.
Funny with you I have always tried to get the true meaning of your sometime's not so clear poetry.
With this one I think I better keep my thoughts too myself before I get censored.
My favorite part is this...Paul

where your head
should find some rest
in service
of
myself

and love

is-not-what-I-am-thinking-of...

Sucking can be a really good thing, my friend,
especially with lolly-pops, Dreamsicles and snowballs. Good Malts (the old Dairy Queen kind) through a straw too!!  Sonic Drive-in, in my area (Oak Ridge North, TX) now have the best malts!

Smile, my friend...

Now I want bon bons too...argh.

*laughing*

I have some pomegranite tea, though, and a good book. Sometimes I just have to make do.

Thank you all for teething.

Sometimes a good ol lingering hug is better than anything else on the planet.
It just does it all with no words said although these are great words penned here which I enjoyed in the verisimilitude of many personal
landscapes but all the while I have a big hug for you sweetie!

I can't explain it but you always write poetry that I couldn't stop reading if I wanted to, Karen.

My eyes are not what they used to be.  At first I thought you said you had pornogranite tea. Immediately, I wondered if your cup runneth over.

I am so happy you are writing.I will not attempt to read into this.I just love to read anything you write. My old brain is
nowhere up to yours and so I no longer try to understand the all of it. I love the words and how you place them and how they sound to me,enough to want to see you writing more often so we who love you can read your words. jo
