She left it on the counter,
...right out there in plain sight,
I hardly took a nibble,
...barely more than just a bite,
I must admit befuddlement,
...I really don't know why,
That when my dear wife noticed,
...there was only half a pie,
Connie got quite angry,
...she said, "the neighbor's sick,
And feeling mighty poorly,"
...as she gave my leg a kick,
"Now I've not a pie to give her,
...how could you do that Tim?"
I said, "it was quite easy,
...I did it on a whim."
That only made her madder,
...but I didn't feel too sad,
I do not like that neighbor,
...I'd no reason to feel bad,
But I told her I was sorry,
...I fear it was a lie,
Damn I love that woman,
...and her rhubarb-raisin pie.
Now I know you are a thinkin',
...that I'm a piece of work,
I admit with rhubarb-raisin,
...that I can be a jerk.

Never had that pie, but if raisins are in it, it has to be good. (((Psst! I don't blame you.)))

Thanks for the chuckles, Sir.
This unleashed such a sound that
I even woke up my dogs from their nap!

I fear for your life if you keep that up Tim.
I enjoyed reading this and I just had to smile. Heck with the neighbour anyway.

ROFL - she should have made two! LOL Of course... since you don't like the neighbor, one was sufficient! *G*  Loved this!
