Today I made a run for it.
Went over the wall,
broke out of the prison of self
and escaped into the backyard
where the flowers are blooming.
Prisoner 31244 is contemplating freedom.

Watch yer back. The petunias are getting testy.

Because of your green thumb, you have one of the most beautiful yards, Ida;  blooming flowers, fruitful trees and the cool shade, I wouldn't mind
being a prisoner there either.
Smiles, my friend. Love your poetry.

Don't worry, Jerry. I never turn my back on a petunia.

Thanks Edna, the yard is already looking good. When you're off this summer and it gets hot we can sit on the porch with a tall glass of ice cold lemonade and enjoy it.

Thank you, James.

I love it, very much so, dear Ida! I do feel this call for freedom very strongly too. Sometimes we may inflict a prison on ourselves, but why would we want to miss even one single flower blooming out there? I don't have a backyard ... but I know what you are talking about. Would be nice to join you and Ebonygirl on the Porch in Summer!

Escape routine and breathe deeply in the fresh air, yes!

Love,
Margherita

I would love to have you join Edna and I on the porch, Margherita. It's too bad we live so far apart. I think we would be great friends.
