Behind the Falls

I stand alone on sandstone ledge
As water falls unseen my tears
And from outside perhaps you’ll see
Colours when the rainbow appears

This is my place I tell no-one
Cold spray upon my cheeks to sting
Lost souls that murmur in the sound
Old memories the pain they bring

This curtain you can never part
Fingers on lips can’t hush the sound
The world outside so far away
But nothing stops it going round

So tranquil are the pools below
The water formed its path to run
Forever more this falling rain
Behind the falls my days are done

Talk about an Alone Room, Michael, but you have described yours to a T, and actually your Alone Room feels even scarier than does mine.
