Repost with minor changes.

When I expose my feelings something inside of me
tells me I won't be the same
I read the morning news I get the longing blues
too many thoughts I can't explain.

Give me good news where can it take me
what can it do for me to make me a man?
The worst won't break me but never escape me
the rest can heal me and I can heal the rest.

When I see a moonbeam above a silent stream
like a vision in the night
I see the wisdom I the see everything
I see the only peace in sight.
It's there I get thinking what makes it all so bold
when you're looking through the gift of life
those precious times glow Lord I'd just like to know
where I'm going by good-bye.

Give me good news where can it take me
what can it do for me to make me a man?
The worst won't break me but never escape me
the rest can heal me and I can heal the rest.

And if I stayed there I'd never get anywhere
but I can come back in time.
It's in that moonbeam it's in that silent stream
it's in the reason there's a why.

Yep. Classic Eric are these lines . . .

"Give me good news where can it take me
what can it do for me to make me a man?
The worst won't break me but never escape me
the rest can heal me and I can heal the rest"

Good news is the smile in the morning before that first cup of java. Bad news is that cup of java when it hits your chin instead of your mouth and it all goes in your lap. Both situations have a lesson to be learned. The smile before breakfast tells you that you are a lucky man. The spilled java lets you know you need to work on your coordination. In other words, buddy, "The worst won't break me but never escape me / the rest can heal me and I can heal the rest."

Everyday above ground is a plus Jerry.
Thanks for the reply on those those lines.

I was looking beyond the everyday bustle and hustle and doing the wondering that all wonder....Pondering, who, what, when, where and the reason there's a why.

Wonderful poetic ponderings, dear Eric. Those moments that bring the intuition, the awareness of being part of the Whole and that everything has a reason, even if we can't unveil all the mysteries.

I much enjoyed your excellent poem.

There is no feeling that compares with having that sense of understanding, know there is a reason why. Loved this.

Coming back and reading the music in your words reminds me that there is too much bad news when my soul wants to soar with moonbeams...now I will continue to read for I find it feeds my soul...
