The beauty of a rose; a woman's smile,
Will eventually fade away and die,
The young fears not death and can be hostile,
Youth feels the world is his stage and ally

The glitter dome with its strobe lights flashing,
Will also be extinguished at days end,
All living things will someday be crashing,
Money can't buy eternal life, my friend.

But oh, sweet bird of youth n'er heeds the time,
Haughtily thinking forever they'll live,
Knowing death bells for them will never chime,
Live for the present and everyday thrills.

But steadily they march toward their end,
Suddenly, with eyes open wide they see,
What looms in their future they do contend,
Now they search their souls to find the right key.

Ah youth, they never realize they held the key from the beginning...Age shows us that.
Thoughtful write my friend. Happy Easter!
