*
My thoughts of you
blend with the breeze.
Its Spring touch
becomes your caress.
Playful and teasing,
till my laughter
calls for applause.
Every single cherry blossom
pirouetting in the air
has a shiny smile
tattooed on its silky face.

Waves of harmonious pulsations
travel at light speed
beyond our sunlit garden.
Joy is contagious.
It affects the birds’ song
and every other sound.
Higher and higher it twirls
in accelerated rhythm,
as we move in lightness
like a one heart couple
of quick step dancers.
By the time the breeze
is lost in rapture upon my lips
the whole world seems
in an ecstatic cheerful mood.

And yet some alien observer
from outer space
will not be convinced
by the apparent
all invading love and happiness.

He will decide to look twice.

But if we really wanted
if only we really wanted,
we might induce
the breeze effect to linger
for as long as it takes
to become real and true
even to a proof-searching
second look of an alien.

That is the trick about holding onto what you have, or what you wish to have, you much gather unto yourself and allow it to happen for "real and true."

Lovely poetry, Margherita, with a searching melody which comes across very real.

You would have to be an alien to walk by a branch of these
cherry blossoms and not be abducted by their beauty.

Very nice, M..picture and poem...:-)

Thank you.

Cherry blossoms always remind me of spring and my childhood when my world was covered in cherry blossoms. I, for one would like to induce "the breeze effect" to stay around forever. This is a touch of your magick.

Ah, it is spring.  I am read for soft breezes and blossoms to dispel the cold blasts that linger, and to set the world to the pace of life and sunshine again.  This is so lovely, Margherita.  I think you could convince any alien.

Now, this imagery just lends itself
to the absolute buoyancy of the poem!

A lovely spring[y] delight!
