Fair to middlin' of nowhere

An empty echoes
again
A lonely bone aches
out of comforts reach
sticks in the throat
brimming eyes
close to falling down
restless cheeks
Impatient with painful
constantly craving
nepenthe

The last line had me scrambling for Google.

I feel each and every line you have written. I feel them deeply because I know they came from your heart. Beautiful sad poem, Lori.
