I would often look under sleepy cypress trees
for the sound of your smile side yawning
those mornings seams when you said it was early
and you wished you could just sleep more

so I pretended not to notice your breasts
and how you wrote my name on them with arousal
and slept with nothing over your suggestions
as if your nudity was merely something invisible

you would do that sigh thing then and hold it
like the sound of a sliding window for voyeurs
just before you made a butterfly with your limbs
and asked I would teach you how to fly again

since you hadn't done in since you fell in love
and yes, that was just a few minutes ago, again
but you said you were clumsy at remembering
unless I was willing to show you again today

and then if I wouldn't mind, perhaps again tomorrow

"so I pretended not to notice your breasts

Yup, yup...it's lines like these that make you an excellent writer of sensual, and romantic poetry.

Fine work, all around, every line a gem.

Awake too early
But it's  never too early
To read poetry.

I'm beginning to wonder if sleep is overrated.  There are a horizon of tomorrows in this; you are so indulgent.

Delightful and wistful in a way ... for sure you are always one step ahead with your poetry, which holds irresistible charm whether it is set in the past, in the now or in tomorrow.
