I remember the time I was in
the house during my middle
school days. It was raining,
for some reason the rain and
the song was in rhythem with
my aching heart. I didn't know
the rain was crying with me
a pain I seem have forgotten,
only to resurface in the beat and
her soft voice as thunder chimes
in. Even the color outside was
a cold navy blue. I draw on
my bed, listen as my heart seems to
cave inward and tears cleave
to my pillow. The rain drops
fallen like piano keys draws on
my window, room brushed with pure blue
like my mood, like that painfully soft
song. Despite it all
Sweetly I press
replay.

Listening to every heart

I know those songs...
I listen,
years drop away
I can smell the day of that hurt
yet again,
or the day of that joy
once more...

we tighten ourselves to music,
and we remember brightly.

Thank you for your comment Sunshine. Music can truly bring out things we have forgotten whether it's pain or joy.
