I'm standing at the window.
I hear something
I see a gloomy light
may as well not be a light
if its going to be a gloomy one

still; captured my mood

a face shows itself quickly
disappears
was it a face or myself
looking back at me
boggles the mind
mind boggling

repeating myself; yes

you can tell when things aren't right
everybody can tell
its like the world has canted
things don't mean what they used to
even since yesterday
or maybe the world hasn't canted
maybe it's been me all along

it's possible

Yes, they are, Nicole, and neighbor. They don't last long usually for me. Appreciate your presence here this morning.

Projecting our own mood onto the world as we do can  make it  such a different place from one day to the next and from one person to the next. But that's the variety that makes it so interesting too. An expressive poem i really enjoyed reading.

Hi, splashMeadow, and thank you for stopping by my world. We poets and wanna-be poets can't help but splash our feeling all over the place, it seems. Appreciate the time you took to read and comment on my little bit of gloom and doom today.

Yep, you are turned into it, J, the mood is what's dealing.

It's an eerie sensation when you know things aren't exactyly right, but can't pin-point exactly why.  I know my world's canted and recanted more than one might deem feasible, probable or even possible.  It's even scarier when feeling that unexplainable wrongness slowly but surely replaces what we believe it is to feel "normal."  I think the roller coaster attendant snuck away for a snow cone and never came back in my case!  I do hope you find yourself righted, and sooner, rather than later, friend.

Thanks for the pep talk, Michael. I have been "canted," and "un-canted," off and on for most of my life, buddy. Just one of those things that we must deal with. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.
