A journey extends so far and wide
In search of what the truth can hide
Like a tumbleweed upon the wind we ride
Only to know what it is we feel inside

To far away places of which we do not know
Exotic, romantic, the heart set aglow
But the truest feelings we do not show
As we build a secret castle row upon row

When at last we are found in a foreign place
Wishing only to see a friendly face
And our past is where our minds retrace
The path we took so far away we race

And helpless feelings of being alone
Are all we carry as we do roam
A wishful thought of a familiar tone
Of our mother’s voice, we have come home

But the journey inside does not end
Our tattered heart is on the mend
A prayer above with love we send
That we are amongst our dearest friends

Once Again

Unorthodox maybe, but I grow on you.

And on and on it goes, like that tumbleweed.
Thought provoking work.
Great read byski...
