swamp fog dense
seeps under the door
disturbs no one in the house
except her

she senses
rather than sees a presence
leaves her bed
seeks out her desire

soundlessly she walks down the stairs
to confront destiny in the form of a
rugged, not quite tamed
Swampman

she stands before him
knows his intention
not the first meeting 'tween the two
he smiles a crooked smile

she sits on a stair step
shivers though it is quite warm
her shivering is wondering anticipation
of his salacious kiss

hovering over her lithe form
as his rough hands softly
strums her she senses
something not the same this tonight

somewhere in her psyche
she understands
he will take her further than ever
even into life unused

scabrously, with Pothos' desire
incisors quickly penetrate
her neck's downy softness
he drank deeply

Ok, that's enough to keep me away from your swamp...

but you sent the fog to my neck of the woods anyway!
