Shock is the house drink
as I bellied up to the bar.
I tasted my apprehension
and I choked on paranoia.
I tossed off a shot glass
of wondering that curled
my toes. Speculation ran
rampant as I checked my
crystal ball of possibilities.
Finally I downed a glass
of fear and sat alone in the
corner of my trepidation.

The imagery is sharp
in a blue room
filled with grays.

Sounds like a scary place to be.
Nice write of the situation.

Yep. Scary is the correct word for "Foreboding," JL. Thank you for being here.

Nicely captured! Seems to be a lot of poems going to the dark side lately from many poets here.

Yeah, it does that, Kat. Could be that full moon we had a day or so ago. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.
