A KNIGHT'S AMOUR

Oh fair maiden hear my plea
I pledge my love on bended knee
If this knight should be so bold
I'll shower you with jewels and gold
No Black knight shall you fear
For on my mighty steed I am here
If Merlin should cast a magic mist
Might I steal one precious kiss?
I would gladly enter the dragons's lair
To win the heart of my lady fair
No quest over land or sea
Could keep me from possessing thee
No stars that shine above
Could compare to my lady love
I'll defend you till my dying breath
Nothing shall part us, not even death
On my honor to you I swear
All my life with you I'll share
I pledge my heart, my love, my name
Please tell me fair lady you want the same

How in the world could the fair maiden say no to a request such as this. Of course if the amorous knight had an ugly wart on his nose that might give her pause. Haha! Nicely written, Kat.

Lol Jerry! An ugly knight, I never thought of that. Maybe that's what the armor was for!

We have heard the Knights side of the story,
his pleads, plans, and desires,  kat.
His feelings are explained clearly, and in good poetic form.

I enjoyed this poem, and would like to see what the maiden says in response......:-)

btw... the title is perfect.

Oh, so enjoyed your poem. The Knight... I think would be a very good prospect. Well done Ms. Kat.

Karen,

There was a poet at PiP
at one time, long ago,
who would have met you word for word
in this delightful song.

So, thank you, for sharing this,
and reminding me of that poet.

Well done!

Now that is dedication!
Excellent write, wonderful.
