Can just three words

Can just three words express my love
Just habit without thought
Describe your soul, or beating heart
Love's rules cannot be taught

I, the first, of those three words
Self centred I hope not
For no-one knows, my I, like me
Or things I know I'm not

Love the second, well that you know
Like fate it called that day
But what is love, please tell me true
This thing that grows each day

And then there's You, the final word
Your eyes that laugh and cry
Your smile that lights my life each day
Until the day I die

But those three words are not enough
I Love You, should be four
So add a word, and then you see
I am in Love, that's sure.

Very, very beautiful.  Both the 3 words and the 4 words, I know she feels, despite the circumstances.  Your love and devotion to her, especially under the circumstances, warms my heart and increases my faith in humanity.  I know it is very sad for you, but I am sure that it warms your heart to know that she is loved and cared for so much.  Thank you, on her behalf, because I know she would be saying so if only she could.
