when I sit down at the quills facsimile
the keyboard, its modern day cousin
I hear the ghosts of poets' past

they seem to be, one and all
coming to terms with hi-tech terminology and its value
to keep alive poetical expertise

it's as if they are preparing me
for factual fictions, untruths, and doubts
obscured full of meaning inside man's ambiguity

I hearken to the will of these ghosts
and begin to type out these heralded meanings
but the only key I see to strike is the ????????

Sometimes people hide behind the ambiguities because the alternative of being seen is too scary. I know I do that.  I have a lot of writings that will never be posted because they are too selfishly obscure and I don't want anyone to try to figure them out. I do relate to what you've written. Good morning to you

Hi Nicole. I know you are right, and that we hide behind ambiguities, but I have, within the last year at least, tried to break loose from that dark corner. I am making progress, yet, like you, there are still poems I have written that will never see the light of day because they scare even me. I like to say that I have thrown off all of my shackles, but the truth remains they are still in place, albeit not quite so tightly as they used to be.

Thank you for continuing to support my writing.
