Ah, drama queens.
They strut and preen,
self centered, jealous, mean
delighting in the mischief they cause.
Wrecking havoc without pause
they flutter about,
dishing it out.
And then...
the gossip comes home to roost...
Instant victim.
She frets and stews,
can't figure it out.
What did she do?
So she gathers her minions about her
for a pity party.

Hi yann. I think almost everyone knows someone like this and you are so right, the best thing to do is avoid them.

I do dislike those drama queens - but I do like your poem, Ida.  Well said.

Hah! There are more drama queens around than people realize, and all of them aren't women.

People with entirely too much spare time on their hands. I have little patience for that. "Minions"...Love that

Ida....

your poem is so on target, and what is really
sad is that those very ice queens think
it is right to establish that very
identity into children at the age of 2.

I pity their ways.

Oh, boy... you captured the drama queens so well!!! We all know them... of both sexes... and the knowing isn't a pleasant experience. *sigh*

Reading this was, though... great write!

Wow! My wife's home email includes dq2 for dramaqueen2 - and she's anything but that.  Gonna give her a copy of this excellent piece -- want to bet she may change her email??

Then again, fiesty as she is, she may throw it at me!!!

Good write, my friend.
