and so...

I was led into captivity.

Taken from
the land of
BEING

and brought
to the kingdom
of Becoming

Programmed
to become
a "Boy"

Programmed
to become
a "Man"

Historical
programming

Sexism
programming

Racism
programming

Religious
programming

Nationality
programming

Political
programming

Consumer
programming

In Babylon
(Confusion)
all questions
concerning"why?"
are answered with
"That's just the way it is"

Surrender
to the programming
and one day you will
"make something of yourself"

"What do you want to be?"

"What do you hope to become?"

I wanted to be Me

and the programming made me cry.

I would often disappear

Sometimes intentionally

In the intentional times
I would hide in the woods.

There, I could feel
the elders dancing
underneath me,
above me,
all around me

Tsalagi
Ani Yunwiya

The blood
of my Mother
The blood of
my Grandmother
pumping,
drumming,
keeping my heart strong

There, I was allowed
to be a
Human Being,

and could break away
from the programming
of being human

There, in the natural world,
I could escape the artificial.

There, I felt LIFE
and did not have to live
pretending that I was alive.

In time...
when the programmers felt
that I had been washed clean
of the sin of
Individual Identity

In time...
when they felt that
I was comfortable
with having my identity
defined by them

In time...
when they believed
that I had been fully
programmed into the submission
that they call"Freedom" ...

I was led into Egypt

to join the laborers

to serve the Masters

To spend my life
making my living

with aspirations
of being able
to set aside
enough to pay
for my death.

In Egypt
everything
has a price tag

and every dollar
is designed to be
a reminder that
the Pharoahs
are watching

I knew that
in the woods
they could not see me,
and I would go there
at every opportunity.

Ancient voices
keeping me sane

As time went on
I watched them clear away
more and more of the natural,
replacing it with the artificial

more and more,
as time went on,
they destroyed my sanity.

The voices fell silent.
Only bitterness screamed.

and I found myself dying,
pretending to be alive.

I disappeared

completely unintentional

and then...
one day...

Moses came...

when I first met
the sacred one
for which I have no name,

I will borrow
"Chiye-Tanka"

Great Elder Brother,

He taught me
how to live

He taught me
how to regain
my sanity

and how to
keep it
untouchable

By his guidance
I have been able to escape

By his guidance
I found the Red Road,
and a great Red Sea
now seperates me
from the Madness,

from the Pharoahs,
from the Programming

Moses said,
"Tell the people that they
are a force of Nature,
that has seperated itself
from the natural"

"Hard times are coming"

"The Natural will remain

Much of the Artiicial
will cease to be"

"Ask them to ask themselves,

"Which are you ?"

***

The voices once again chant

I hear them dancing
underneath me,
above me,
all about me

They speak
to my wife
and my sons

...and we have laughed
...and we have danced
...and we have sang

Wovoka's vision
only fails
if you cease
to DANCE !
