would that life treated you fairly
would that you treated life the same way
would that I could make things go better
would that communications were easier
would that I wouldn't complain so much
and just take what I can get

You know... sometimes, when the pull is strong enough, it's really hard to just take what you can get.  I'm kind of jaded though... usually, I'm more willing to cut things off than feel the pain of want.  There's always exceptions though, to everything.  It's a really difficult balance.

This really resonates within me... I think I've spent my life wanting more... and I doubt that yearn will stop until breath stops... because having it all just isn't in the cards for some. We just keep our noses pressed against the candy store window, smudging the glass. *sigh*

You said it, suthern, but even at this late date for me I keep trying. Thanks for being in my world.

Hi JP,
I really liked Suthern's response to your poem.
I was hasty in my own response. Wow, so much more to ponder in your poem. You have it all now JP, the love I mean, may not be easy but it's there. I hope it's ok to say this. Ms.e
