Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Remembering ways it was
and used to be’s
Like grains of sand
slipping away between us
Luxuries like time
through the hourglass
quickly pass
Leaving a slow
and lonely longing
to grasp our together
like we used to

Sad refrain here, Lori. I understand it, having been there. Sometimes those grains of sand, when misplaced are never able to find their way back, can never recapture what was. I hope this is not the way it happens to you.

Sorry, you are right. I am wrong. Sometimes I misinterpret poetry, I think I did that here.
