In vino veritas said Latin,
the centuries pass but not the truth,
the good wine illuminates the table
as an attentive companion,

I would also go farther than the wine on the table,
in the ocean the truth,
would I be tempted to share with you
this light which comes from wild seas?

By its greatness the ocean makes us lucid,
we shall never know how to tame him
or calm his iliac angers,
no more than know the song of his sirens,

In vino veritas,
but in the ocean also the truth
embraces us as passengers of another world
looking their liquidiennes origins,
exhilarating of marine splendors of their souls.

Wow, dear Yann! This spectacular poem creates an emotional stir that will linger for quite a while.

Indeed, your eyes roamed the depth of the oceans and surfaced with a feeling of wonderment and belonging ... and reverence.

Just awesome.

I would say that you understand the sea and the oceans of deep truth very well, yann.

Great piece of writing, Yann. I have great respect for the sea having worked on it for some twenty-odd years. Your words here validate my feeling exactly. Thanks for your concise approach.

"By it's greatness the ocean makes us lucid."
So, true! The ocean opens my mind, allows me to see clearly, cleanses me. Enjoyed your poem.

Oh, wow, Yann!  I love the whole poem, but, for me, this is the pinnacle of the wildest wave.
