I posted this and then pulled it, but after hearing today basketball game tickets will be in the $1000s here in Orlando, thought maybe those millions spent on seats (and those freebies for politicans)to watch millionaires bounce a ball around might do more good and $ might be better spent to feed the hungry!!!!!!!!!!!
And thought the super(?) bowl half time show was terrible!!You'd think, madonna had learned to lip-sync by now.Screwmia too.
Sorry if you don't like.Don't read on then.Sports is just another crooked, dirty business.

Foolsball (Another Stupor Bowl)
Ticker Tape Parades

We throw down tons of confetti
On millionaires, who toss a ball
Yet, we don’t have Parades for those
Who, gave Some and/or Gave All.

A Nation that, just can’t wait
For, who wins, that coin toss
To bet which team, wins or loses
No thought for, ultimate loss.

We go crazy over stupid ads
For millions, as we are had
At half-time, fingered by non-talent
Who can’t even lip-sync, kinda sad‼

Watched by the biggest audience
That this World, has ever seen
Pride for Giants or Patriots
Neither, worthy of the title, or between!

The Ones who deserve those names
And, all that reverent, adulation
Are those, who fight and die for us
Who really, Stand Up for our Nation!

A reality check, is in order
To, review our priorities
It’s not some moneyed, stupid, sport (?)
That, should bring us, to our knees.

Haley Barber

Just another case of stupidity
Of who we vote to lead our land
With some idiot voted in
Who does, what we never planned.

Murderers, robbers, and rapists
Will have that governor kiss their -ss
And turn his back on justice
And make the victims, walk right past.

Maybe they waited on him
And, baby sat, his family
Said, “Yes, Sir!, as his “Servants”
And, he just let them go free.

Another, bit of the injustice
Of those, who rule our land
Who, don’t do what we ask of them
Who fall, when they should stand.

What else should we expect
When, a dollar buys our soul
When, we don’t have guts enough
To, fight against their goal.

Maybe someday, we’ll do what’s right
We’ll tell them, “You are wrong!”
But, I’m beginning to wonder
If, we’ll ever, be that strong?

Once, we were a Country
Who, would stand to the World, say
“”We know, how, to do it right!”
But, that’s not so, today!

We are all a bunch of wimps
We want, to belong to the rest
Fit in, not make any waves
Well, I’m tired of that test!

If I can’t say what I feel
And worry, what some say
If my mind, is changed by others
I don’t want to live that way.

So, bring it on, come loaded
Because, I’m not just that easy
I’ve made up, my simple mind
I’ve got to be, just who I be.

I can only give one "yes"
Maybe that will balance the "no's"

I may not agree with everything you said, but this used to be America and you used to have a right to say it. Saying that, this site has rules. But I read your poem the day you posted it and there was nothing in it that seemed to break any rules of PiP. I also read the comments, at least the first two, and I didn't see anywhere that you were being threatened with censor, it was merely a comment, we too, have rights.

Your pen sets forth some valid observations on society's have's and have nots.  My own feeling is one of despair over those who suffer in a land of plenty because those in high places are frivolous and self-serving. I do think what we have is worth working for, and I love it when someone who has achieved material wealth uses talent to increase the principle of blessing.  We all can on some level.
