I thought about her as I sat by the lake
Watching the moon stare at its own reflection
Romantics are most comfortable within their own thoughts
Four walls of warm cozy perceptions that isolate them from the
Cold world
Cold world
Look around... love is a dying art
Instead of embracing it
They kill what they feel
Going through life never learning
How to use their God  giving abilities
To paint a lasting impression on the lives around them

I thought about her during the drive home
Wishing my car could travel on the bridge that unities us
No traffic only room for two
I cut through a fog or a jazzy haze
Kind of blue, just a phase
First there was love, then there was hate, then love reappears again
The line  becomes blurred lovers or friends

I thought about her in my dream
I was sitting on the porch
Watching the sunrise
While it erased the darkness from my life
All that reminded was her
A second beginning, A refreshed start
I woke up to a message on my phone from her saying:
"Hey I was just thinking about you"

Thoughts travel in in circles

Quite a meandering trip though your thoughts here, Street Poet. Love. The most misunderstood emotion that we have it seems. Your analysis of it bears rereading, which I shall.

At a cocktail party, one woman said to another,
'Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?'
'Yes, I am. I married the wrong man.'

Love the "circles"
And life is very much as you
have depicted here.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.

Very beautiful and so true.
