Seems to me I've done aged a bit,
but it's all really good for me,
especially if I can find my behind
down and about by the sea...

In St. Kitts we catamaraned, we
communed, summoning spirit libations;
we met all sorts of friendly folk
all joining some sun celebration...

in St. Croix by Hotel on the Cay
we loved the island way of living
take it easy, rest, and sway
with the breezes that are a'giving,

in Dominica, come see the whales
and dolphins all in pods,
90% chances of sightings,
by gosh it was 100%, by the gods...

so down and about by Grenada way
we sailed into its lively port
meeting subjects from all lands,
down there by the resorts.

So now slightly sunburned, but a bit tan
I am once again bound 'round by land
but locked, I am not, for by memory
I'm a blink again by sea, and sand.

You looking good, my friend, and from the tenor of your sweet poem you had a fine old time doing the tropic. I enjoyed the poem, and aging, if done in style, ain't bad a'tall. And you seem to be doing just that.

At a cocktail party, one woman said to another,
'Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?'
'Yes, I am. I married the wrong man.'

Much enjoyed, my friend and it appears you had a wonderful time.

As far as aging goes ... Still look awfully youthful to me!!!

Dear Karilea, your wonderful experience is rendered very vividly and I enjoy it, especially now that we are having snow and very low temperatures.

Forget about age, you look great and happy!

Wonderful memories, and a joyful escape
even if only for a moment!
Excellent write, Ms. Sunshine.

James - the location is Grenada...from our veranda off our cabin. Grenada was our southermost stop - and while only in the 80's, the sun was fierce on the skin.

Thank you all for your lovely commments. It was a nice trip - especially since the groundhog saw his shadow and like Margherita, we're now back in snow weather mode.

But my tan looks great compared to my co-workers!!

Now, to start planning the next escapade...

and someday I may write a poem about the pole dancing...

Sunkissed and beautiful!

I live near the beaches, but it's far too cold for sand between my toes this time of year.     It's been a while, and I want to go down to the sea again...  Your poem takes me to magical places!  ~Karen

You are a beauty, mid-west girl--
you've always had that set of...teeth.
But some of us, unfortunate,
must greet each year with grief.

Not all of us are standards for
a cruise ship ad, or Fuji isle...
Some of use count pils from vials
and place them in a calendriss.

I look at you and I believe:
"She smells just like Sweet Honesty!"
Talcum. Towels (fluffy white)
and polished nails so French they're white.

I'll bet you own a nice sarong,
with fringe that teases not-too-wrong.
I imagine boys that get
you drinks so fast so you'll forget.

With a Perino, tall
and carrot sticks
carved like small dolls
so you'll be naughty with the dip.

Yep, I'm seeing all of this,
and not a bit of it in me.
Grace is for the beautiful--
the witchiness, that's you, and ME.

I'm leaning with the fringe these days,
my upper thighs (seen better days)
but actually they ruled the nights.
(And held the title pretty tight.)

I guess that's all I have to say.
You're always pretty, night and day.

A Swimmer, synchronized! I say!

Happy Valentino Day! <3

A delightful poem, filled with Sunshine..:-)

And the picture of that perty gal, makes a country boy blush, and look down at his feet...
