like water
you fill every corner
and crack, every
broken thought and
unfilled dream

like water
you spill over me

I know I'm probably not supposed to, but I can't help but compliment you on this simple, but well-constructed poem. It says a lot in a few short lines.

At a cocktail party, one woman said to another,
'Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?'
'Yes, I am. I married the wrong man.'

Thank you, JL, for reading and enjoying the poems that I post.  I am so happy that you liked this one.

Dear Margherita, thank you lots.  You are always so gracious.

jimmy, I smiled when I read your response and I am so flattered that this poem further inspired you.  You are very special and very talented.

Nicole.  Thank you.  Love that poetry can be a pore washer.

Owly one, thank you, my friend.

Got me laughing, tracie.  One day I might just tell you what did inspite this poem.  It's not what ya'll think.

Now, DS, you know I don't talk about tequila.  I drink it.  Gulp it actually.

Ruth, come on back any day.  I am so happy that you liked this one and carried it with you for a bit.

yann, thank you.  Yep, let them flow.  Right?

Thank you, LGB.

Sharon, thank you very much.

Emma Rose, thank you for such a lovely thought.

Ida, thank you for deeming it worthy of keeping.

Jerry, I get my dander up at times, but I am not a grudge holder.  Post away if you like.  Thank you.

Dear Joyce, you make me smile.  xoxoxox

Yay!  Sunshine is back and I am happy.

Thank you, Kit, and best wishes right back to you.

water as metaphor..yes..but have you noticed: the harder you try to grasp water, the quicker it slips away

as you imply: water will come and fill our needs..but do not clutch it too tight

enjoyed,
