Ah, I had a uncle who had so many wonderful stories to tell we would always lose track of time listening to him.  I can relate.  Nice pic too.

Beautifully rendered. I can just "see" the rapt listeners of Auntie's history . . .

It has been a long time since I talked... or listened... through the night. Times with reason to do so are treasures... Beautiful work!

Marti, I am so deeply glad that you have such exquisite memories.  I haven't heard her stories, but I felt them, as I read your exquisite poem and imbibed your equally exquisite picture.

Hugs for missing her

Sounds magical, dear Marti! To talk and to be raptured and on top of all to experience the miracle of dawn, what can one desire more than this?

Thank you all for your very kind words. My Auntie was a very special lady and I miss her so much. We used to talk for hours when we'd get together.

Applause! a beautiful senyru.

I can relate to this, it is like stories around campfires of my youth.

What happened to those people that kept my attention all night by the tales of their life..?

I see by this, that those stories hold your intrigue also.

Thank you for the poem, and very good matching picture.

Was thinking of my grandmother - gone since 1980, and thinking of this piece again made me smile...just though you'd like to know...
