       passing strangers

In remembrance of life
and love forever lost
the saddest tears fall
   by moonlight

Her lovely face, voice
   and laugh
linger only as the traceless
fading of a Summer rainbow.

We are all but passing strangers
in a fleeting dream.

Sometimes I hate to admit this is a truism, my friend, but alas and drat, 'tis so. Very well written.

Ah, but the memory lives on and sometimes the bittersweet sad but poignant memories keep us going through the saddest of nights.

Enjoyed,
