Mystery of You

How do I solve
the mysteries of your mind?
where would I ever start
to have them unwind?

Those puzzles without compare,
your life’s mind-traveling…

That far off stare –
you, your past and future,
should I even dare?

You are a chant of delicate pastel colors,
sensitive, without disdain.
Gentle moving touches
of kindness, you never restrain.

Your shyness
glowing with a tender smile,
Your happiness and joy for others,
never a’ guile.

You are the freshness of dew
for the morning’s spring,
creating new melodies
in whispered songs you sing…

Where should I start,
and how will I find –
answers to mysteries,
you hold in your mind?

εφ

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Maranatha!

JL what wonderful words to hear! All too often women are blown off as being incomprehensible so there is no point in trying.  Bless your heart

Lori, No way!  There are women who truly deserve not to be blown off as
incomprehensible,
trying is always the best option.

This is so very beautiful! Just wanting to know all that lies beneath the surface says so much... to be looking with such loving eyes promises accepting arms, whatever the answers. *S*

Not sure some mysteries are worth the solving, however intriguing they may be...  If the gifts you receive from said person are a blessing in your life, and it sounds like they are, isn't acceptance and appreciation a gracious enough kindness to give in return?  Unless you are not trusting of said person, in which case questions of motive might seem justified.  Just my take.  The people who have loved me unconditionally in my life I hold in very high regard... I would never question the why of their actions.

"How do I solve
the mysteries of your mind?
where would I ever start
to have them unwind?"

Old timers in the mountains where I live,
would tell you..

"you ainta gonna do it"

Perhaps we men should not try to unwind them...delicate creatures might expose their mysteries faster if we just stop bugging them. Besides, some things they may reveal might scare us, and are better left hidden.

I enjoyed this poem, its exposed romantic feelings, and its sense of wonder.
