So many bones

I hear the dry winds,
as they play them,
like a flute

So many bones

What will you do
when the trees
are gone ?

Will you
cover yourself
with money ?

Will money
protect you
from the strong winds
and the dust ?

Will it shield you
from Father Sun's fury?

What will you do
when the Oceans are dead,

and each new days dew
is poison ?

Will you
squeeze your coins,

for a drop of water
upon your tongue ?

What will you do
when Great Mother
no longer feeds you ?

Can you
eat your money,
like cabbage ?

So many bones

I hear the dry winds,
as they play them,
like a flute

So many bones

It is Creator's
courting song.

Creator's song
to Great Mother

I do not know
what you will do

But I know
Great Mother

She will be
as beautiful
as she was
on the first day

with
so many bones
to feed her.

Self destruction does seem to be an inherent trait of our's.

A haunting write.

Powerful write, Larry. I think it was Gandhi who said, "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need but not every man's
greed."

Good to see you back here.  I don't think there'll be any of us left so ... problem solved.  Enjoyed your ponderings.

Larry, you strike a nerve with your questions.  Makes me glad to think that our mark won't be lasting.
