Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Letting go
of my past
that wants to
cling like Velcro
Cockle burr demons
to be ripped loose
from tender scars
of been there
done that
Enough of
blame and shame
and unforgiving
me such things
I would forgive you
so easily.

I love the strength of your words... I think I'm going to tape them where I'll read them often!

Ah yes... You not only have to let go, but must learn to walk away from that past.  Someone told me once "there's no future in the past."  i think they were on to something.

ah yes, that's the key: letting go so that the cup is empty again to be filled by the fluid future and not the hardened past.

Wise writing, Lori. We can't do anything about the past but we can start over.
