Listening to every heart

0 posted 2010-12-31 11:34 AM

Carve On

before the word
before the page
there reached across
the word of sage

from the heart
from within the chest
mankind gave
to us his best

Carve On

~*~

came the scribe
of man's tribe
in voice of thunder
made man wonder

carried the tales
of life's history
shared with all
His story

Carve On

~*~

deep within my soul there reigns
a calling deep in this domain
that perhaps one day beyond the pall
there shall ring within the call

to Carve On

Carve on reflections
carve on the write
carve your soul deep
into the night
wend your words
and mighty thought
leave behind memory
so that we're taught
to carve on

carve on some bone
some rock, then hone
into a book a
treasured tome
leave your mark,
leave it clear
carve on into the heart
to be held so dear

Carve On…

~*~

then carve us all a circle
to bring us all herein
where we see the loving
compassion and caring
carve the curve of living
carve the warmth of friend
Carve On and in your writings
see this circle of homecoming

Carve On

~*~

Leave it to you to carve rings around the sun.

Love the array of emotions and yes, I see so much color in your poetry.

Happy New Year to you, good poetess!!

Most of us carve in the sand and is washed asunder with the tide.

To mimic is a form of praise unless
you have no thoughts of your own

Karilea
What a neat way to relanguage progressive art.
Loved the progressive way you presented this write.
My my girl you're a wonder sometimes.
That last verse is just as warm and inviting as a fireside talk with a bottle of good wine.

Eric

ain't doin nothin at all just answerin the call
