Gray robes and stone stand timeless vigil while history lies beyond

The last Jabberwocky sits
In darkest pit
Alone
Trapped by boundaries eternal
Awaiting time’s final chime to rescind its crime
Truth
Knowing all
Having shared it

Pen and paper recorded the story
Censorship spoke refrain
Highest authority took priority
While flames claimed what remain

Now there’s only silence
And solitude
The last Jabberwocky sits
In darkest pit
Alone
Trapped by boundaries eternal
Awaiting time’s final chime to rescind its crime
While history lies beyond

Clever and sad...  isn`t there still a wild Jabberwocky out there somewhere?  =(  Interesting writing, Andrew

Amaryllis: I have several representations of dragons in my classroom. Eventually my fourth graders ask, "Are dragons real?" I often respond... "Only if you believe." For who am I to say one way or the other? Thanks for reading and responding. Peace.

Sometimes real and unreal get a bit confused to people. I wrote a novel about dragons. Do I believe in them. No. I do however believe in dragons of the thought process and the inner sanctum of man/woman/whatever/kind.

To mimic is a form of praise unless
you have no thoughts of your own

Garapan: Thanks for the dragon. Peace.

Sir Dark: That you would find this piece to be "cool" says much to my ear. I bow to you and yours.

Jerry: Couldn't agree with you more. Thank you for the read and write.
