Fair to middlin' of nowhere

back in the day
my blissful
was ignorant and unaware

hard was easier then

before hind-sighted
wisdom
enlightened me

that hard is hard
pain just a faded memory
to recall

in the moment

times haven't changed
at all

Everything dims if given enough time, even hard and pain. Leastwise that's what I've heard.

To mimic is a form of praise unless
you have no thoughts of your own

Perhaps that's why they say ignorance is bliss?? The good thing about pain is that it feels so good when it stops.

I enjoyed the meaningful wording in this small piece. It relates the feeling very well.

Lori

Nice and concise.
Wouldn't you say there's many different types of pain and different types of hard?

When I was young things were physically easier but mentally I was an over achiever to my detriment, which created confusion within.

Now I'm still confused but there's a certain comfort in realizing I am and doesn't matter as much as I once thought.
That make any sense at all??

Naw that didn't make any sense at all!

Fries for everyone!!

Eric

ain't doin nothin at all just answerin the call
and kinda driftin away from it all

Of course, you know I do...

It's good to have friends in the same boat...
when one is too tired to paddle, the other
can pick it up...

Eric-Thinking back we see how easy those problems were and how we have changed and can deal with them better.  BUT... When you are going through new problems NOW it feels like it is as bad as it felt back in the day.
