Yes indeed, Lori. They had the beat and the swamp sound which resonated with people.

Yeah, I hear about Fogerty doing his thing. If there is ever a truth to your statement about getting in your blood and not being able to help yourself you have to look no further than Jagger and the Stones.

True enough.
Back in 64 I remember hearing the first song, at least the first I ever heard of theirs, 'Time Is On My Side'.
Forty-six years, not a bad run.
Richards has an auto bio out now and it hasn't all been a bed of roses. He has some strained things to say about Jagger, calls him "her majesty" amoung other things.
However, they hold it all together and keep on performing. Quite amazing really.

People flock for miles to attend a Stones concert.
Only two of the original members left now, Jagger and Richards.
Brian Jones died, Mick Taylor left, Bill Wyman finally quit, Charlie Watts finally quit, although Ronnie Woods has been there so long it seems like he's an original.

Ya gotta hand it to them for many reasons. The truth be known they're not the best musicians and singers in the world but they blend and they can write hit songs for the masses.
They pack em out!

"they blend and they can write hit songs for the masses."

Yep. They sure could do that. They played the bad boy image perfectly, which I guess they were bad boys. Well, rumor has been around for many years about Jaggers preferred sexual identity. Richard too as far as that goes. Blah, blah, blah.
