He woke up to a silent borough
Where the streets were searching
With the snow bristling from east to west.

He looked at his body,
The sculpture of himself,
His own mirror never had two faces
When he stared with his own reflection.

His eyes told a story,
A journey,
But his mind couldnÕt grasp the depths of his thoughts,
Of the future that lay ahead of a blizzard,
Of an ominous time in his life
Where his mother, like a small chant inside his head,
Held his hand as tight as the eve he was born.

He didnÕt want his life
To a be a short column
An agony of regret
A pen that couldnÕt push the boundaries of life itself

A search within himself,
For a love he had to find
Was not for another
But for himself
Along the borough,
Seeking a reflection of two faces.

Ah, we all are in reality two-faced. We show the world what we want it to see, and hide the other face because we are basically ashamed of it, or believe people will laugh at it.

To mimic is a form of praise unless
you have no thoughts of your own

it's a lovely poem...

When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile... :D

once in a while we need to let our needs get ahead of our wants, slow down long enough to catch sight of ourselves ... and reflect
