I wrote and wrote and wrote and wrote
And not one word was worth a note
It wasn’t for you and wasn’t for me
It just wasn’t something someone should see

So to save us all some trouble and time
I threw it all into my Instomatic Rhyme
A really nice little poetic machine
That never writes words rude or obscene

The problem though is it writes in scribble
In truth, it’s good at spitting out dribble
Like a two-year-old outside of the lines
It doesn’t care for my poetic designs

I think I’ll go back to the tried and true
Back to my pad and pencil number two
Bury the machine in a mortuary
And go back to my rhyming dictionary

Gotta watch out for those rhyming machines, they spit out plastic banana rock 'n roll which is indigestible.

And should it start to rhyme in slant
just draw your leg back and then plant
a solid, heavy  kick or ten
to get it working right again,
but not too hard, you`ll make it worse-
it could start writing in free-verse!

Lol

enjoyed this fun poem, Andrew

Best~

There's nothing quite like the feel of paper under your hands, and a pen or
pencil in your clutch...is there, Andrew?

Merry Christmas!
