Listening to every heart

Talk me into the Night

I balk at the shadows closing in
the memories
don't walk when they come rushing in
the hurting
is chalked up to experience once again
and I know
to caulk the windows of my soul from the wind

~ * ~ * ~

so talk me into the night, my friend
walk with me in soft light, no end
of talk throughout the night to lend
a shoulder on which I might cry

hold me and hug me tonight and then
talk a little more my friend
then whisper that there shall be an end
Willow won't break, just continue to sigh

sing to me a silent song all night
and caress away all of the fright
then never again let loose of tight
just talk me into the long goodbye

just talk to me, my friend

~ * ~ * ~

"just talk me into the long goodbye"

Loved every line of this poem, Sunshine. Angst, or rather blues came to play within the lines, the last one a tell-all and to all a special goodnight.

Very good!

Another superb repost from those beautiful days back then.

This is a great line!
"to caulk the windows of my soul from the wind"
You're simply one of the best!

My fellow Canuck Mysteria deserves the tribute she's always been one of the most upbeat people I've ever known.
